by Huib on Apr.27, 2009, under Abandoned, Belgium, Industry

On 25-04-2009 I was back on urbex traveling togheter with by buddies Vinnie and Eelco. We started the day with Kosmos and traveled to Hof ter Meere, while we where there I wanted to go to Mol but Eelco and Vinnie wanted to see Comet first, the only problem is that the peeps on UrbexForum just told me that this isn’t Comet. So we need to go back soon for Comet

It isn’t a real big location, A lot of empty spaces and not much to see. But I took some pictures that I can show you :D

Brouwerij Eylenbosch

by Huib on Apr.24, 2009, under Abandoned, Belgium, Industry

On 24 – 01 – 2009 Vinnie and I visited Brouwerij Eylenbosch in Belgium, this location has been abandoned for a while and it is very trashed. We came to this location because we had some spare time left after visiting Maison Viron.

Entering the place was really easy, and the first steps inside did give me the creeps (I hate it when there are birds inside) when we where on the roof we where spotted by people, the first one that saw us was a nice girl that waved but the second was a woman pointing at us, so I warned Vinnie and we where preparing to take a run. When I looked again the husband was calling somebody on his phone and the wife was still pointing in our direction. We did run as fast as we can and within 10 minutes we where back on the ground leaving the building in other way than we did enter it. When walking out the door we heard sirens coming our direction and we did make a run to our car, while running we came by a police car (Those cops would feel like a big idiot because the where very close in arresting us but the didn’t notice us) when we came by the car we drove a little bit around and came back to check it after 10 minutes, there where 3 police cars on the location. I think we where very lucky.

Maison Viron

by Huib on Apr.21, 2009, under Abandoned, Belgium, Residental

On 24-01-2009 Vinnie and I visited Maison Viron in Belgium, It the first location where there was a small change to be discovered because the owner lives right next to this house.

Entering wasn’t that difficult we walked around the house twice before we found a way in. I enjoyed my stay inside the building I only think it wasn’t my best photo shoot (more the worse I ever had)

While leaving the building we where discovered by the owner and we where send of the property, later that day we visited a other location and we where discovered there also (The send police at us with a lot of noise there where three cops on that location, but that will be my next post.)

Some history:
Baroness Viron used this beautiful house as her country house. But it is unused for over 30 years now. The 80 year old baroness now lives next to the abandoned house.

La crachoir piscine

by Huib on Apr.13, 2009, under Abandoned, Belgium, Leisure

La crachoir piscine is a swimming pool is built during the first World War  to keep the local workers out of the German factories. The pool was built with a beautiful glass roof that was removed several years ago for a normal straight roof. Despite of the missing glass roof there is still enough architectural art to see like the rescuer statue made in 1919.

This location was build in 1915 and abandoned in 1999
