Forgotten Beauty

While driving around in the nice city Amersfoort I noticed this building. Big parts of the building are already demolished and the part thats still standing will be demolished to in a few weeks.

While walking around there I noticed that this building used to be a nursing home belonging to Zorg accent Amersfoort.

Eder Kuil is a theater in the city Ede, it is build in 1936 and it can have 2060 visitors. This location isn’t complete abandoned, there are 5 events in a year on this location, the rest of the year its abandoned and waiting for the next party.

It has been a while since I have been on a urbex trip, I guess you can say life get in the way but last Sunday we where on the road again visiting this hospital in The Netherlands, it has been abandoned for 10 months now but it is getting in a pretty bad condition pretty quick, some spots are already destroyed by vandals.

Somewhere in Holland stands this Monastery, I couldn’t find info about how long its abandoned, but my guess is that is abandoned part by part. Some parts where pretty old on other places we found stuff from 2007.

I’m going to find more info about this place, but so far no luck. I visited this location twice within a week.

In 1958 this psychiatric hospital was build in Amersfoort. Because this was the only Jewish hospital in Europe there were many foreign patients treated in this hospital. In 1968 a children’s wing was added to the building.

Beside  the hospital we found also a swimmingpool and a gym on this location

In the end of 2007 the hospital moved to Amstelveen, the old hospital becamea abandoned but it got very vandalized by local the local youth, now the building is taken over by squatters but the demolishing is planned for 11-2009
